UEFA Women's CL: Kundananji plays 90, Misozi off the bench as BIIK progress to round of 16

Zambia Women national team forwards Rachel Kundananji and Misozi Zulu put in good shifts for their Kazakhstan side BIIK Kazygurt who progressed to the UEFA Women's Champions League round of 16 following a 2-0 win over Anderlecht.

Kundananji started in attack for Kazygurt alongside Gulnara Gabelia, Shannon McCarthy and Alina Litvinenko while Copper Queens captain Misozi Zulu could only make the substitutes bench.

BIIK came into the match with an away goal advantage having forced a one-all draw in Belgium in the first leg and a goalless draw was enough for them to go through. USA defender Kennedy Mae Rose broke the deadlock putting the hosts in the lead after 27 minutes.

Litvinenko doubled the lead from the penalty spot five minutes to time sealing a 2-0 win and 3-1 on aggregate sending BIIK through to the round of 16.

Misozi Zulu played the last few minutes of the match as she came on to replace Yekaterina Babshuk in the second half while Kundananji, on the other hand, put in a full shift.

BIIK joins Lyon, Barcelona, Bayern, Wolfsburg, Twente, Fortuna, Slavia, and Manchester City as the nine teams to have qualified to the round of 16 so far.
