New Guinea coach Didier Six has named Florentin Pogba-brother to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba-ahead of their friendlies against Comoros and Chile.
Florentin has not played for Guinea since 2017 and was omitted from the 2019 African Cup of Nations squad by Paul Put but Six has seen it wise to recall the Atlanta United FC defender together with Ibrahima Conté, Soumah Seydouba and Ibrahima Sory Sankhon.
The 23-man squad has Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita who is returning after a long layoff with Jules Keita, Antoine Conte and Elie Ouendeno earning their maiden call ups.
Six has been tasked with the mandate of Guinea's bid to qualify for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2022 World Cup.
They are in a tricky qualifying Group A for the Nations Cup tournament alongside Mali, Namibia and Liberia or Chad; they open their group game against rivals Mali on 11 November.
