French Ligue One side Saint-Etienne has appointed former Leicester City and Southampton boss Claude Puel as their new manager on a three-year deal.
Puel takes over from Ghislain Printant with his main task being to pull the club out of the relegation zone with Etienne currently sitting second from bottom in Ligue 1 table.
The 58-year-old was sacked by Leicester in February after 16 months in charge and later replaced by Brendan Rodgers.
Premier League Outing
He secured a ninth-placed finish with the Foxes in the 2017-18 Premier League, after one year in charge at Southampton -whom he guided to eighth.
Saint-Etienne has won two of their opening eight fixtures in the French top flight and have picked up one point from their first two Europa League Group I games.
Puel is no stranger in the French league 1 after managing sides like Nice, Monaco, Lille and Lyon before. He will have to show what he has in store when he meets his former employers Lyon in a derby on Sunday.
