Lusaka dynamos cruised to an emphatic three-nil win over Mighty Mufulira Wanderers to put an end to a three-match losing streak while Zesco United beat Napsa Stars 3-2 to end the Pensioners unbeaten run.
Lusaka dynamos welcomed Mufulira Wanderers at Nkoloma Stadium and were looking to put an end to their losing streak. The hosts started off well dominating play and were ahead after two minutes, Marvin Jere heading home an Ocean Mushure corner kick.
The hosts were dominating play and doubled the lead two minutes to half time through Chris Mugalu who beat Joshua Manyongo in the Mufulira Wanderers' goal from the penalty spot after Willy Stephanus was brought down in the box. The match went to the break with hosts comfortably leading 2-0.
Lusaka dynamos came back from the break with the intensity and increased their lead twelve minutes into the second stanza, Mousa Lemisa scoring his first goal of the season.
Things moved from bad to worse for Wanderers as Nchimunya Munene was sent off by referee Jan Sikazwe for a second bookable offense. Wanderers tried to put a fight late in the second half but Lusaka dynamos held on to win the match 3-0.
The win takes Lusaka dynamos to 11th on the log while Mufulira Wanderers remain stuck in the relegation zone, third from the bottom.
