Following their shock 2-0 loss against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Pep Guardiola revealed that Manchester City struggled to play their usual game.
City dominated possession but struggled to unlock the well-drilled Wolves defense with Nuno Espirito's men aiming to hit on the counter. That is what exactly happened as former Barcelona forward Adama Traore finished up two perfectly orchestrated counters to hand Wolves the win.
Speaking after the game, Guardiola revealed why City struggled against Wolves, "We started decent, quite well but conceded counter-attacks. We were not at our best and when you concede a fast counter-attack, we had chances to score but it was a bad day and lost the game.
"We did not make good process, we had problems in that sense. We are a team that plays a specific way but it is a bad day, that happens sometimes."
