Wales national team are set to assess Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey's fitness ahead of the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Slovakia and Croatia according to BBC Sports reports.

Ramsey will travel to Cardiff ahead of his medical checkup after he was on the bench in Juventus' victory against Inter Milan at the weekend.

Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri told the media that the 28-year-old had suffered a niggle in his abductor's muscle while warming up which led to him sitting out.

Ramsey is yet to feature in Wales' qualifier matches due to persistent injury woes and last made an appearance back in November 2018.

Manager Ryan Giggs expressed his desire to have the former Arsenal star feature for them as he feels his influence in the midfield will make the difference.

Manchester United's Daniel James, Bournemouth forward Harry Wilson and Derby County's Tom Lawrence, were reportedly absent from Wales training sessions on Monday.
