Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau may not fly to Port Elizabeth to face Mali.
Fresh after shining against Real Madrid and in his final game before Mzansi duty, Tau limped off the 39th minute of last weekend’s win 4-0 win over Gent.
The club’s medical team later confirmed that the 25-year-old suffered a bruised ankle injury - while a full examination is yet to be done to determine the severity of the injury.
"A few minutes later, Plastun's tackle at 2-0 also means the end of the match for Tau. 🤞 Lion!," posted the club's Twitter.
Brugge’s medical report won’t be the final word though. FIFA’s international player call-ups dictate that a national team’s medical team receives a player to make their own final verdict. Over to you SAFA medical team.
