Mamelodi Sundowns’ 2019 champions league trips will take them to Algeria, Angola & Morocco.
The 2019 CAF Champions League group stage draw was revealed in Cairo tonight. Looking at last season’s unforgiving group, this year’s draw should give Kabo Yellow enough reasons to feel content.
Sundowns, 2016 champions and quarter-finalist for three straight seasons, are a much-respected side in Africa. Especially after the latest strong message of a 16-1 aggregate win over Cote d'Or in last month’s preliminary round.
Pitso Mosimane’s team have been placed in Group C where they’ll meet Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca (two-time champions) for the third consecutive season. The group also features Algeria’s USM Alger (2015 runners’ up) and Angola’s Petro de Luanda.

CAF confirmed matchday one for the weekend of 29-30 November. The top two finishers will advance to the tournament’s quarter-final stage.
