Absa Premiership giants are set to juggle quite an eventful weekend come the next 72 hours.
Without confirming whether the club willing decided on it or event organizing overlooked the calendar, Chiefs will this weekend play in two separate friendlies in two cities.
Both games will take place within 48 hours. Amakhosi will take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the annual Shell Helix Cup. The game is set for FNB on Saturday at 15:00.
Ernst Middendorp’s side will then be expected at the Free State Stadium (now the Toyota Stadium) on Sunday at 15:00. The side will face Bloemfontein Celtic in the 2019 Macufe Cup game.
Last year’s Macufe Cup game went to Chiefs with a 2-1 win. Scorers: Dumisani Zuma and Lebogang Manyama. While the 2018 Helix Cup was won 2-1 by Sundowns, scorers: Jeremy Brockie, Themba Zwane and Bernard Parker.
