Romelu Lukaku became the first-ever Belgian to score 50 goals for the national team following his side's 9-0 win over San Marino in the UEFA EURO Qualifiers on Thursday night.
Belgium became the first side to qualify for the Euro 2020 following the heavy win against San Marino, matching the record for the biggest margin of victory in their history. And Lukaku became the first Belgian to reach the milestone as he opened the scoring for the hosts in the 28th minute. Nacer Chadli was on target, grabbing the second goal for Belgium which was followed by an own goal from Cristian Brolli with Lukaku netting his second and fourth for Belgium before half time.
Toby Alderweireld and Youri Tielemans scored the fifth and sixth as the two sides headed for a break. In the second half, Christian Benteke, Yari Verschaeren and Timothy Castagne each grabbed a goal as Belgium booked a place in for the Euro 2020.
