Chelsea suffer huge injury blow as N'golo Kante withdraws from France squad

Chelsea have been dealt with a major injury blow after N'golo Kante pulled out of the France squad with a muscle injury.

Kante had been included in France's starting lineup for the Euro 2020 qualifier against Iceland on Friday but was forced to withdraw after reportedly pulling up with a hamstring problem in the warm-up and was replaced by Tottenham's Moussa Sissoko.

The 28-year-old has suffered a myriad of injuries since the latter stages of last season and missed several games due to a knee problem sustained in the 4-0 defeat at Manchester United. The Blues already have several players out injured, including Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Antonio Rudiger and Emerson Palmieri.

Kante has only recently turned to full fitness and has been influential for the Blues since his return, scoring against both Liverpool and Southampton in recent weeks.
