Muller exit rumours to Man United explained by Bayern chairman

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich through Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has cleared the air on rumors linking striker Thomas Muller with a move outside the club.

Rummenigge insists that Bayern and Muller are still on good terms despite the striker having expressed concerns over lack of playing time.

Speaking to Welt am Sonntag Rummenigge said: “The relationship between Thomas and FC Bayern is totally intact. He will remain an important part of our club. If Thomas were content to sit on the bench, he would be at the wrong club.”

Not Happy

“Niko spoke with him last Sunday. His statement was not happy, but Thomas is not resentful, nor is he a backup. He nonetheless has to deal with the situation seriously. He’s doing so exemplarily.”

Müller has made just three starts this season and admitted he would have to ‘think about his future’ should the current situation continue.

The Germany international has been with Bayern since turning 10, spending his entire professional career with the club and is recent weeks been linked with a move to Manchester United who is in a dire need of a striker.
