Harambee Stars winger Ayub Timbe was on the scoresheet as Beijing Rehne succumbed to 4-1 loss at the hands of Dangdai Lifan on Sunday 13 October in the Chinese Super League clash.
Visitors Lifan had taken a 19th-minute lead through Alan Kardec in the 19th minute but Timbe was to restore parity for Beijing in the 26th minute after being put through by Elvis Manu.
Kardec was to restore Lifan’s lead in the 28th minute before completing his hattrick in the dying minutes of the first half at the Beijing Fengtai Stadium. Lifan was to put the game beyond their hosts through Kardec again in the additional minutes from the spot once again.
Timbe who was excluded from Harambee Stars squad this weekend completed the entire game but received a yellow card in the 71st minute.
The loss didn’t do them any favours in the league standings as the team is rooted at the foot of the log with 12 points after 24 games with their next game being against Tiajin Teda on Sunday 20 October.
The team is six points below 15th placed Tiajin Tianhai who are second from last and they will hope to close the gap before the end of the season if they are to harbour any ambitions of staying in the Chinese top flight.
