Barcelona forward Lionel Messi was presented with the Golden Shoe away on Wednesday afternoon.
This is the sixth time Messi is receiving the award after a beautiful campaign last season where he netted 36 goals for Barcelona. The award is won by the player who grabs the highest number of goals in Europe's top divisions in a season. It has been previously won by Barcelona's Luis Suarez, Diego Forlan, Thiery Henry, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Argentine scooped the award ahead of Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe by a difference of three goals. Messi took to the stage at the Antigua Fabrica Estrella Damm in Barcelona to be presented with the prize, along with his wife Antonella Roccuzzo and sons Thiago and Mateo.
