Wazito to confirm a new head coach this week

Kenyan Premier League newbies Wazito FC will appoint a new head coach in the course of the week.

According to Wazito’s financier Ricardo Badoer in a tweet, he had no reason to explain why he sent the duo of Fred Ambani and Stanley Okumbi packing.

The owner further urged the players to put in more effort in their coming games if they are to win games or else they will be kicked out of the team too.

One Win

Wazito has only won one game in their first six games despite Badoer investing heavily in the team since taking over last season when they were still in the National Super League.

The confirmation of head coach Fred Ambani and technical director Stanley Okumbi was confirmed on Monday morning this coming after it was claimed that the duo was fighting over who had a say on the players to be fielded.

With the absence of the duo, the club confirmed that assistant coach Hamisi Mohammed will be in charge of the team until a new head coach is confirmed.

A chunk of names is already being thrown around for the vacant position with Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee being a constant name.
