Zambia Under-23 national team head coach Beston Chambeshi has trimmed his provisional squad to 20 players as preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations intensifies.
The Beston Chambeshi led technical bench has dropped eight players from last week as preparations reach the final stages. The dropped players include Charles Muntanga, Jackson Kakunta, Edward Tembo and Boston Muchindu.
Others are Wayne Museba, Leonard Mulenga, Crispin Sakulanda and Zachariah Chilongoshi. The foreign-based players will join the squad later on.
The eight-team Egypt 2019 Africa Cup of Nations will take place from November 8-22. Zambia is in Group B alongside Nigeria, Ivory Coast, and South Africa. The top three teams at the AFCON will qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
