Jonathan Mensah handed new contract at Columbus Crew

​Ghana international Jonathan Mensah has reportedly been handed a new contract at Major League Soccer club Columbus Crew, Ghana Crusader reported.

Mensah's current deal was set to expire on December 31, 2019, but Crew decided to renew his contract after his impressive performances for the side - he will remain at the club until December 2020.

The Ghanaian has been fan favourite since making the move to the side in 2017 and has been a prominent feature in the starting lineup - scoring three goals, providing one assist from approximately 85 appearances.

Mensah has previously plied his trade for Evian and Free State Stars in the South African National First Division.
