Ole Gunnar Solskjaer names Paul Pogba's replacement during his injury

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has elected Fred to replace Paul Pogba with the Frenchman expected to be out till December.

Pogba is yet to feature for United since the 1-1 draw against Arsenal after picking up an ankle injury in the game against Southampton which was aggravated in the clash against the Gunners.

Fred has finally shown glimpses of his talent since his £52 million move from Shakhtar Donetsk last year, impressing in games against Liverpool and Norwich City.

Solskjaer tipped Fred to step in Pogba's shoes during the Frenchman's absence, "Fred will probably take Paul's position for a while now. He's been brilliant for us.

"There is no use talking about who is not going to be here for a long, long time because he is not going to come on the pitch and help us until he is fit.

"Paul's been brilliant and he is a creative midfielder that we need, but then it is up to the others to step up."
