News coming out of Europe believes that Victor Osimhen has being mentioned in the offices of places like FC Barcelona.
The red-hot Osimhen has caught attention thanks to seven goals & one assist in 11 games for Lille this season. While the likes of Bayern Munich and AC Milan were the first to eye the 20-year-old striker, the latest and biggest of them all, Barcelona are reported to have joined the race.
“Barcelona have reportedly joined a number of top European clubs in the race for Lille forward Victor Osimhen,” wrote the Sports Mole.
“The La Liga giants are in the market for a centre-forward to be the long-term successor to Luis Suarez and believe that the Nigerian starlet has the potential to do so.”
Osimhen arrived in Ligue 1 this season from Belgian outfit Charleroi - and joined Lille to replace the now Arsenal forward Nicholas Pepe.
The Lagos-born footballer originally comes from Nigeria’s Ultimate Strikers Academy. His breakthrough came after the 2007 FIFA U17 World Cup. Osimhen joined VfL Wolfsburg and the rest was history.
