πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬πŸ—£ Unhappy Rohr confirms fixture complaint fell on deaf ears

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr expressed disappointed over Nigeria’s AFCON 2021 Qualifiers schedule and CAF have not listened.

Following the announcement of Nigeria’s squad yesterday, Rohr added that the upcoming programme is not at all ideal.

The West African giants will play double games in five days. Nigeria will tackle Benin at home on Wednesday, 13 November. The trip will be followed by an 8-hour flight to Maseru to face Lesotho on Sunday, 17 November.

"Our players from Europe will only get to us a day or two before the first game, so there is no time for adaptation to the African conditions," Rohr said via BBC Sport.

"After that game on Thursday we travel to Lesotho away on Friday to play on an artificial surface on Sunday. This is not ideal and proper for any team.”

"We've spoken to Caf about this but nothing has been done,” added the German.
