Real Madrid are reportedly considering an offer in the region of £70m plus Gareth Bale for Manchester City ace Raheem Sterling.
According to Sky Sports, the Madrid hierarchy will try, for the second time, to take the former Liverpool man to the Spanish capital, having failed with their 'behind-the-curtain-bid' in the summer.
Bale's future is still unclear at the club having come close to leaving in the summer, and there's a general understanding that he might be let go.
Sterling has been the shining star for Pep Guardiola's side in the last two or so seasons, and has helped transform City's frontline into one of the best in Europe.
He has been in sensational form in front of goal this season, finding the net 12 times for City so far, with a further eight goals in six European Championship qualifiers for England.
He might not be a Cristiano Ronaldo replacement but is seen as the target player who will transform a rather dormant Madrid attacking unit.
Madrid signed the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, and Rodrygo in the summer, but have failed to make any significant improvement.
The England international has not hidden his desire to play in Spain, and this might represent a good opportunity to trade the Premier League for La Liga.
