Boakye resumes training with Red Star Belgrade after injury scare

Ghana international Richmond Boakye has returned to training after narrowingly escaping an injury scare in the UEFA Champions League clash against Tottenham Hotspur, Ghanasoccernet confirmed.

Boakye came off the bench in the 67th minute of the contest as Red Star Belgrade thrashed 4-0 at home by Spurs.

Son Heung-min scored a brace with Erikson and Lo Celso scoring a goal each to seal the deal for Spurs.

Red Star Belgrade went down to ten men on the night after Pavkov got injured towards the end of the game.

The Ghanaian sustained a nasty tackle from Spur’s Oliver Skipp in the 92nd minute which resulted in him limping off the field after the final whistle.
