English Premier League champions Manchester City are reported eager to join the race to acquire the services of Rennes midfield rising star Eduardo Camavinga, according to 90mins.
Camavinga has been an outstanding midfield maestro for Rennes this season, staring all 12 matches in the Ligue 1.
His name became known after he put on an impressive display for the Les Rennais in their 2-1 victory against Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) back in August.
These consistent performances in every game have resulted in the 17-year-old attracting interest from big clubs and Manchester City is one of them ready to challenge those keen on signing him.
Camavinga was handed a new three-year deal by Rennes in the summer and this makes it easier for them to make hefty demands for their midfield star because of his increasing value.
However, that seems like a small task for City as reports have claimed that the Citizens are willing to spend as much as they can to get the player's signature.
The Angolan-born star was given French citizenship to enable him to play for France for which he has been called up to the U21 team to replace Arsenal's midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi who will now represent the senior national team.
