Ghana international Fatawu Safiu has been handed a new permanent contract by Swedish side Trelleborgs following a successful loan spell, Ghana Guardian revealed.
Safiu joined the second-tier outfit on a four-month loan spell from Asante Kotoko after he had inspired the latter the group stages of the 2018/19 CAF Confederations Cup.
The 25-year-old scored five goals from nine matches played since joining Trelleborgs back in August 2019.
The Ghana Guardian revealed that the new deal with hand Asante Kotoko $110,000 in addition to the initial $35,000 they received for the 4 months loan.
