Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga has sent a message to the Kenyan Government after the national team settled for 1-1 draw with Egypt on Thursday.
Confident Stars controlled the game in the first half but found themselves trailing just before half time thanks to Mahmoud Karhaba strike. Kashiwa Reysol forward Michael Olunga netted the leveler on the 67th minute, a strike than earned Francis Kimanzi's men a point.
And now Olunga is asking for the Kenyan Government to continue offering support to not only the football team but all the sportsmen who are representing the nation.
"You know the government has been supporting us during the AfCON qualifiers and I would like to ask them to continue with the support. No player who is special but we need to take care of the players so that everyone can be ready both physically and mentally," he said after the match.
"It is our humble request to the government to continue standing with the national team, not only football but each sportsman who goes out there to represent our nation."
Kimanzi's men will take on Togo on Monday 18th at MISC Kasarani Stadium.
