Wazito FC have been handed an injury boost ahead of Kenyan Premier League encounter with Kisumu All Stars after Bernard Ochieng recovers from a knee injury.
Ochieng has been on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury three weeks ago when Wazito were up against Post Rangers. The team physio Noel Manid has confirmed Ochieng will be available for selection on Wednesday having traveled with the rest of the squad to Kisumu on Tuesday morning.
Melis Medo will also welcome the club's captain Dan Owino to the squad having missed the last match against Sofapaka through illness.
"Bernard is back in the team. He has trained without any difficulties and he is available for selection if the coach will need him," said Mandi as quoted by the club's official website.
"Apuoyo has trained well but he is not yet ready to play, Wednesday game came too soon for him. He will be considered once he is fully ready," he said.
Wazito will miss the services of Mansoor Safi after he suffered soft tissue injury. The left-footed attacker was named among the subs during the club's last match against Sofapaka but will not be available for the Kisumu clash.
"Mansoor has a soft tissue injury on his foot and he will not be available for tomorrow’s game. He has not been training with the rest of the team. It’s not a bad injury and he should be able to resume training in a few days,” he added.
The match will be staged at Moi Stadium, Kisumu tomorrow starting from 3:00 PM EAT.
