Eden Hazard reveals why he snubbed Paris Saint Germain before joining Real Madrid

Despite being incessantly linked with them, Eden Hazard has revealed that he rejected a move to Paris Saint Germain because he did not want to represent another French club other than Lille.

Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille back in 2012 and spent seven years at Stamford Bridge where he went on to score 110 goals in 352 games.

The 28-year-old moved to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window in a deal that could surpass £130million as he scored a brace for Chelsea in his last game against Arsenal in the Europa League final.

In an interview with L'Equipe, Hazard revealed why he rejected moving to PSG, "They often tried to recruit me, but I didn't want to return to Ligue 1 unless it was to join Lille. I always said no to them. It was clear in my mind that if I were to return to France it would be with Lille."

Hazard recently admitted that Lampard has the qualities to become the best coach in the world, "No, not at all. I know Frank as a player, not as a manager, but he's a great guy. He's showed already after four months that he can be one of the best managers in the world.

"The good thing is that they are playing with young players, young English players. For England it's good, for Chelsea it's good. They are lucky to have young players with quality."
