Matthijs de Ligt responds to Patrick Kluivert claim he 'regrets' Juventus move

Following Patrick Kluivert's claim that he regrets making his move to Juventus, Matthijs de Ligt has insisted that he is happy at Allianz Stadium.

De Ligt was hot property in Europe after captaining Ajax to the semi-finals of the Champions League and registering impressive performances during the 2018-2019 season.

The Dutch defender eventually joined Juventus last summer in a £67.7m move but has come in for some criticism for his performances for the Old Lady so far.

In an interview with Voetbal Primeur, de Ligt responded to Kluivert's claim of regretting his move to Juventus, "I don't regret the fact I have moved to Juventus. They are saying and writing a lot of stuff. If a person like Kluivert says something like that, it might seem true, but it really is just his assumption."

The Dutch international has played in all but three Serie A games so far this season, but has particularly struggled in the Champions League, and looked especially shaky during the 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid.
