Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has hinted at starting the midfield trio of Jorginho, N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic when his side takes on Manchester City on Saturday.
Kante has been missing for the better part of Chelsea's season so far, with the Jorginho and Kovacic forming a formidable pair in the middle of the park.
With the Frenchman full-fit now, Lampard will have a decision to make on how his midfield will lineup when they face Pep Guardiola's side at the Etihad Stadium.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Friday, the former midfielder suggested the trio could start, which will force a change in his game plan.
"I want it to be a positive issue. We have Kovacic as well, it is great for me. It is something we have done pretty well. We have had fluidity in our midfield. I think we can use them all collectively,"
"You have to give Jorginho the freedom to leave his position. He has a perception for the press,"
Chelsea are currently third on the Premier League on 26 points, a point above the defending champions, who lost 3-1 to Liverpool las time out.
Lampard will be keen on avoiding a last season's 6-0 beating in the corresponding fixture and will come face to face with a hurting City.
