Sensational Zanaco head coach Numba Mumamba is still optimistic despite his team suffering a heavy three-nil defeat at the hands of Power dynamos on Wednesday afternoon at the National Heroes Stadium.
Numba was still impressed with his players and felt they dominated the match in the second half despite failing to find the back of the net.
"I think this result is a drawback on our part as we wanted three points being at home but all is not lost. All we need is to get back in training and work on the mistakes we have made," he said.
" I think the players did very well. It's a game we dominated in the second half despite not getting a goal. We just have to encourage the team so that we can pick points in the next games," he added.
Numba was however not particularly pleased with the way his team defended and believes they gave away cheap goals.
" I think the game is a disappointing result because we have just given them the goals that they have scored. We did not defend according to the expectation of everyone I think we lacked communication," he said.
Larry Bwalya was at his devastating best on Wednesday as he scored a brace and assisted the other goal to help Abayellow to an emphatic 3-0 win.
Zanaco sits just above the relegation zone with only 11 points to their name but they have four games in hand and if they can manage to win them all they might find themselves in the top five.
