With skipper and major goal-threat Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang suspended for Arsenal's next three domestic matches, Mikel Arteta must shuffle his pack for the visit of Sheffield United.
With injuries also playing a part, how might the Gunners line up this Saturday and which youngsters will get their chance to shine?
🧮 Projected AFC XI (4-2-3-1)
Leno; Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, Luiz, Kolasinac; Guendouzi, Xhaka; Pépé, Özil, Martinelli; Lacazette
The back five just about picks itself, although there will be a dilemma at left-back with Sead Kolasinac struggling with persistent ankle and thigh problems, and 18-year-old winger Bukayo Saka still unfamiliar with the role.
With Lucas Torreira doubtful with a back problem, Matteo Guendouzi will partner Granit Xhaka at the base of Arsenal's midfield. Gabriel Martinelli will be the major beneficiary of Aubameyang's suspension, with the talented teenager set for a prolonged stint in the first XI.
Fan favourite Alexandre Lacazette will also be under pressure to get on the score sheet because of his friend and captain's absence.
Another man looking to impress will be club-record signing Nicolas Pepe. The 25-year-old Ivorian scored in Arsenal's win against Manchester United and was desperately unlucky to be denied the winner at Crystal Palace with a shot that got tipped onto the base of the post.
