Manchester City expects forward Leroy Sane to return to full training next week this as confirmed by head coach Pep Guardiola.
Asked about Sane in his presser ahead of their weekend game against Crystal Palace, Guardiola said: “Definitely. Leroy is still not training with us but everything going really well and he should be training with us in another week.”
The return of Sane is a boost for City who has a date with European Giants Real Madrid in the Champions League; the last 16 game slated for February 26.
Sane has been out of action since he damaged knee ligaments in the Community Shield win over Liverpool in August but he returned to training this week although he was put through his paces away from the first team.
Apart from Sane, defender Aymeric Laporte returned to training with the full squad last week and is expected to be back in action soon but the Palace game might have come a little bit earlier for the Frenchman.
City is currently placed second on the league log with 47 points; 14 points below leaders Liverpool who have a date with Manchester United over the weekend.
