Council of East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA) president Wallace Karia has been appointed to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) organisation commission alongside Kenya's Nick Mwendwa.
Karia, who is also the Tanzania Football Federation president, will also be joined in the Commission by Burundi FA boss Reverien Ndikuriyo.
The commission will be chaired by CAF president Ahmad and deputised by Senegal's Augustin Senghor.
Uganda FA boss Moses Magogo maintained his position as the Futsal and Beach Soccer Commission chairman and will be assisted by Djibouti's Ali Harred Mohamed.
Others members of CECAFA were appointed to the CHAN Commission. These include Aruna Moses Mawanda (Uganda), Younisse Yassin Mohamed (Djibouti), Isayas Jira Bosho (Ethiopia), Abraham Esayas (Eritrea), Hassan Bargo (Sudan), Francis Amin Michael (South Sudan), Hassan Mohamed Mahmoud (Somalia) and Rwanda’s Jean Damascene Sekamana.
Uganda's Jean Sseninde, Lydia Nsekera (Burundi) and Kessy Lina (Tanzania) got appointments to the Women's Football Commission.
Other members from the CECAFA region selected on other Commissions include; Abnet Meskel (Ethiopia), Mohamed Galal (Sudan), Abdel Moneim Moustafa Hussein (Sudan), Jeremie Manirakiza (Burundi), haile Woldemicael (Eritrea), Anthony Otto (South Sudan), Paul Gasper Marealle (Tanzania), Mustapha Samugabo (Burundi), Ali Mohamed Ahmed (Somalia) and Garang Maper Dut (South Sudan).
