BREAKING: Solskjaer retains support of Manchester United board despite back to back defeats

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has retained the support of the club's board despite Wednesday's defeat to Burnley.

United have so far suffered three defeats this month in the Premier League, losing by a scoreline of 2-0 to Arsenal, Liverpool, and Burnley. Wednesday's defeat to Burnley saw the Red Devils miss the chance to move to within three points of the top four. Under Solskjaer, the club has the worst points tally after 24 matches since the 1988/89 season but the club has no plans to sack the Norwegian.

The 46-year-old took over from Jose Mourinho in March last year and has led United to 19 wins, 11 draws and 15 losses in all competitions.

The Red Devils are currently fifth on the log with 34 points and will play hosts to Manchester City over the weekend in the second leg of the EFL Cup semi-finals.
