Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been named in the Carabao Cup Team of The Week despite a defeat to Aston Villa.
Iheanacho scored an equaliser for the Foxes in the 72nd minute after Matt Targatt’s opener, but a late goal from Mahmoud Trezeguet secured Aston Villa a place in the final of the competition against cup holders Manchester City.
In a 4-3-2-1 formation released by sports statistics website, whoscored.com, the Nigeria international was fielded as a lone striker, while his teammates Youri Tielemans, James Maddison and Manchester United’s Fred are in midfield.
Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish and Trezeguet are the two wingers.
Manchester United trio, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Luke shaw and Villa’s Targett are in defence, while David de Gea was handed the goalkeeping duties after his impressive outing against Manchester City.
