Following his sacking back in November, Unai Emery has revealed that his successor Mikel Arteta is benefiting from an improved atmosphere at Arsenal.
Emery was shown the door at the Emirates Stadium after a string of poor results that saw Arsenal fail to win seven consecutive games in all competitions.
Arteta is yet to steady the ship at Arsenal as he has won just a single Premier League game since his appointment back in December.
In an interview with Marca, Emery rated Arteta's start at Arsenal, "Mikel has a lot of experience as a footballer and has worked alongside Pep [Guardiola], who is a top coach.
"He is playing a 4-2-3-1 like ours. Ozil is No 10, and is slowly looking for his identity. But with my departure, the hostile atmosphere was relaxed. The results are not being the best but you have to give it time to do so."
Emery arrived at Arsenal in the summer of 2018 replacing Arsene Wenger who had been at the helm of the club since 1996.
