French Champions Paris Saint Germain are doing all they can to heal the rift between Kylian Mabppe and his coach Thomas Tuchel.
The duo was involved in a touchline disagreement after Tuchel withdrew Mabppe in their weekend 5-0 win over Montpellier.
Le Parisien reports that the club held a meeting on Sunday night to try to resolve the simmering tension between the duo with Tuchel having promised that he was going to take action on Mbappe over his behaviour.
The newspaper further reported that the relationship between player and manager could already be beyond repair.
Most of the football pundits have lambasted Mbappe for disrespecting his manager but the player is thought to be one of the untouchables in the team with the club bosses seeing him as the key figure in building a dynasty.
Mbappe is said not to be impressed by Tuchel’s tendency of substituting him consistently in games despite the other players routinely lasting the full 90 minutes.
The happenings have attracted the attention of clubs believed to be interested in the 21-year old with Real Madrid muted as his possible destination after their president Florentino Pérez previously saying he would like to see the Frenchman at the Bernabéu.
Mbappé’s contract at PSG expires in 2022 and is still stalling in inking a new deal.
