According to reports, Arsenal is set to make a bid for Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu.
The Daily Mail reports that Arteta’s scouts have been on the 19-year-old’s case for quite a while now, since his emergence at the club.
The Turkey U21 international has scored two goals and has made two assists in 19 appearances on the Eredivisie so far this season, with an impressive two assists in five appearances in the Europa League.
If Arsenal do not get him earlier, then he will be a ‘hot piece’ in the summer if he does well at the Euro 2020.
Feyenord values the player with three years to go on his current deal at £15m, something the Gunners can afford.
Arteta’s men are currently on their winter break before returning to Premier League action against Newcastle United on Sunday 16 February.
