Manchester United midfielder Frederico Rodrigues, commonly known as Fred, has opened up on his 'Pastor' nickname at the club.
The Brazilian is enjoying life at the club following an inconsistent start and has grown into one of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's most trusted players.
He seems to be a popular figure off the pitch as well, going by the funny nickname he has gotten from teammates.
"I think its because I'm quite religious. I like to talk about my religion on social media. I'm someone who is very grateful to God for everything he has done for me," he said as quoted on the club's official website.
"I always show his gratitude on social media everyone sees it and I've been given this nickname, Pastor Fred. I think it's cool and long may it continue," he added.
Fred was recently voted Manchester United's Player of the Month for January following a series of impressive displays through the month.
The 26-year-old was signed from Shakhtar Donetsk for £52m, and he has started showing his potential.
