Christian Eriksen has suggested the atmosphere during the Milan derby on Sunday night cannot be rivaled by any in the English Premier League.
The Dane was introduced in place of Alexis Sanchez and had an impact, coming close to scoring from distance only for his freekick to bounce off the crossbar.
Speaking after the match, the former Tottenham Hotspur ace suggested the atmosphere during the derby was far more superior compared to England.
“It was a great experience,” Eriksen told La Gazzetta dello Sport after the Milan derby.
“You don’t get that atmosphere in the Premier League.”
“The first half was sad, but winning like that with a comeback was very, very special. Now I can leave the stadium with a huge smile on my face."
He further said he is fired up to perform even better at the Italian side, noting that the fans have been more than welcoming.
“I really feel that many fans are happy I am here," he said.
"That fires me up, it motivates me, it pushes me in the right direction and helps me to settle in. So far, everything has gone really well.”
Eriksen moved to the Italian giants during the January transfer window, having refused to extend his stay at the London club.
