Hakim Ziyech has all but confirmed he will be moving to Chelsea in the summer with a special message to Ajax fans.
The Moroccan will move to Stamford Bridge at the end of the current season, following an agreement between the two clubs early Thursday in a deal said to be in the region of £33.5m.
The 26-year-old has become one of the shining stars for the Dutch side since joining them in 2016 and played a starring role last season as they lifted a domestic double and reached the Champions League semifinals.
Following the announcement of the imminent deal, the winger sent a message to his fans on social media, thanking them for the memories.
"Happy to be fit again so I can enjoy these last months on the pitch, where I belong. Received [sic] a lot of warm and positive messages during my absence and I hope to create just a few more beautiful memories than we already have. Very happy with my next step, but first I have some unfinished business to handle🎩 #❌❌❌," read the caption.
Ziyech will become Frank Lampard's first signing since taking over at the club, with more signings expected in the summer.
His arrival will see the likes of Pedro and probably Willian moved on, with their deals expiring in the summer and negotiations over extensions stalling.
Ziyech joins the likes of Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic in Chelsea's attacking unit.
