Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa feels disappointed in his team not getting the maximum points following their 3-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park.
The Villans produced an impressive performance at the start of the game and they looked to have been solid before Son Heung-min scored the winner for the visitors at stoppage time.
Speaking to VillaTV, he said: “That one hurt all of us. We deserved more and I thought that we could have been three up, but things didn’t work out in our favour.
"We showed great character to come back from 2-1 down but unfortunately we make a mistake.”
“The fans were absolutely brilliant and they stuck with us, so it’s a hard one to take.”
“Everyone makes mistakes in football, it’s just about how you react, but he [Bjorn Engels] knows it himself because he’s experienced,” he explained.
“We’re all close in the changing room so we all put our arm around him.”
