⭐🌠 Van Persie compares Saka to Arsenal and Manchester United legends

Robin van Persie has hailed Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka for his stellar performance against Olympiacos on Thursday while comparing him to the trio of Manchester United and Gunners legends.

Saka yet again caught the eyes of many as Arsenal beat Olympiacos 1-0 in a Europa League clash thanks to Alexandre Lacazette's strike in the 81st minute. Having played a key role in his side's weekend win over Newcastle United, Saka assisted the only goal that saw the north London side take a big step towards the last 16 of the competition.

That marked the teenager's eight assists of the season in all competition and Van Persie hailed the England international, likening the youngster to some of the Premier League’s best-ever players.

Speaking to BT Sport, he said, "Ryan Giggs used to give those passes, Dennis Bergkamp, Paul Scholes. This is like ordering your striker to move into the danger zone. It’s actually world-class. Really, really good. This is not simple. This is very good, world-class. He makes it look easy but this pass, like I said, only the great players can give those passes."

"Most crosses there would be kicked away by the defender and would be shot too high or too low with no idea. But this is a pass with an idea. This is a pass with a message, and that is what you want from your players."

"He’s really taking his chance, and that’s nice to see from a young kid to really grab his chance and play for his future. ‘And he’s doing it so well. It’s so nice to see."

The return leg of the Europa League will be played at the Emirates Stadium next week on Thursday 27th.
