Laliga giants Real Madrid have confirmed that midfielder Eden Hazard has fractured his ankle after Saturday night’s defeat to Levante.
The Belgian limped off during the 1-0 defeat with coach Zinedine Zidane admitting afterward that it “didn’t look good”.
And now the club have revealed, via their official website, that Hazard has a fracture but do not say how long the winger will be out for.
A statement on the club's website noted: "After the tests performed today our player Eden Hazard by the Medical Services of Real Madrid has been diagnosed with a fissure in the right distal fibula. Pending evolution."
It will be a blow for the former Chelsea man who will be out for both Champions League clashes with Manchester City and next weekend’s Clásico.
