African football legends are set to line up in a charity match to take place in Conakry, Guinea on April 5.
The match dubbed "A match for a cause" was announced at a press conference held on Monday in Conakry and attended by a number of African football legends.
According to the organiser, SportFever Management, the aim of the match is to raise funds and awareness towards supporting the development and education of the girl child in Africa. Funds from the match will be donated to African Initiatives for Women (AIW), a non-governmental organisation dedicated to improving the welfare of the African woman.
The match will see the likes of El Hadji Diouf, Diomansy Kamara, Kader Keita, Didier Zokora among others take on their Guinean counterparts.
"The Guinea team will be made up of Titi Camara, Pascal Feindouno, Kaba Diawara, Salam Sow, Edgar Sylla and among other big names," stated Mehdi Saad, chief executive of SportFever Management.
The organisers also revealed that they will make this fixture an annual event bringing together African football stars for a worthy cause.
