🇬🇳 'I will not beg anyone to play for Guinea!'- Didier Six gives up on Bouna Sarra

Didier Six has given up convincing Olympique Marseille right back Bouna Sarr to accept an invite to play for Guinea instead of waiting on France call up.

In an interview with foot224 Six, the Syli National coach expressed his frustrations with Sarr, who he has courted for quite some time.

"I gave him a deadline to find out was he interested in Syli. I can't wait because I have to name my team. I told him that I need him in the Guinea team. If he says no, I will respect his decision. It's not a case of wait and see, its either you are coming or not. You have to learn to respect the Guinean flag. In any case, we have quality players in the Syli National squad. Currently, I'm looking at 50 to 60 players, we will deal with whoever shows up," he said.

Sarr was born in France to a Senegalese father and a Guinean mother. He qualifies to represent France, Senegal and Guinea. He is currently plying his trade at Marseille.

In 2014, he was called up by the Guinea national team in but he did not play for them. In late April 2018, he was approached by the Senegal national team and turned down the offer. He is hoping that Didier Deschamps will invite to Les Bleus.

Six has been touring Europe meeting Syli players and other potential recruits as he seeks to build a formidable team to take part in the 2022 FIFA WorldCup qualifiers.
