Borrusia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland has hailed his counterpart from Paris Saint Germain ahead of their Wednesday faceoff in the Champions League.
Haaland has taken Europe by storm this season and has not stopped from scoring despite ditching Red Bull for Dortmund with the Norwegian scoring a brace in the first leg of the fixture to give his side a 2-1 lead heading to France.
Speaking in an interview with France Football, Haaland said of Mbappe: “He is a fantastic player. This is the first time that I played against him in the 1st leg. He has so much talent, and even more on top of that. He is extraordinary.
“Everything that he has done at his age and when you look at the titles that he has won, it is completely crazy. He is a truly great player.”
Both Mbappe and Haaland are considered as some of the best attackers in world football currently and the duo would be keen to outdo each other to help their respective teams proceed into the next round of the European premier competition.
Mbappe is expected to start in the game despite reports that he missed Monday training with his team due to an illness.
