🌎 North America's finest emerging talents making waves in European football

Usually, it's Europe, South America and Africa who are known for producing the globe's greatest talents but a new crop from North America are growing the game for America and Canada.

Perhaps it's a long while yet until The Stars and Stripes and The Canucks threaten the natural order in football and challenge for major honours at international tournaments, but we might well see an influx of their players into Europe's elite clubs.

Three youngsters are already doing just that.

🦊 Christian Pulisic

Chelsea & USA

When the ex-Dortmund man missed a long spell of this season with an injury, Chelsea suffered as a result. The 21-year-old American is a talented wide player capable of gravitating to central areas to make chances and score goals. Pulisic already has a perfect hat-trick (left foot, head, right foot) in the bag against Burnley at Turf Moor. Frank Lampard's men will be eagerly awaiting his return.

🔥 Alphonso Davies

Bayern Munich & Canada

One player that Chelsea won't be wanting to see in a while is Bayern Munich flier, Alphonso Davies. The Canadian teenager destroyed The Blues in Bayern's 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge with his electrifying pace and power. Davies' story is an interesting one, having been born in Ghana to Liberian parents but his family fled the civil war when he was five years old, seeking refuge in Canada. Davies looks and plays like a winger but he's currently a first-team regular for Bayern at left-back in an ultra-attacking role. This boy is going straight to the top of world football, and his TikTok account is pretty hilarious too.

🔧 Tyler Adams

RB Leipzig & USA

The most striking thing about Tyler Adams' game is his versatility. The RB Leipzig utility man has spent a long portion of 2019/20 on the treatment table with injury, but the American is back in the fold now and ready to fill in where his manager needs him when the season gets underway again. Adams is not the most spectacular player but his toughness in the tackle and tactical intelligence means he's a great guy to have your team, and he's still only 21.

We'll be watching all of these talented North American stars when the football returns to our screens.
