Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Neymar Junior are some of the world's best players but they are some of the best earners in the football world too.
According to a study by France Football magazine, Barcelona superstar Messi was the highest earner last year this after adding their estimated gross salaries and income from image rights to bonuses earned last season.
Messi's total annual income was at £141 million with this putting him ahead of Ronaldo who earned a total of £127 million. Brazilian Neymar is third on the list with a total pay of £102 million.
Apart from the trio, a chunk of the players in the list came from the Spanish Laliga with former Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta making the top ten list.
Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale was fourth on the list with £41.7m. Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann and Bale’s teammate Hazard are tied on fifth with the duo reaping in a cool £35.3m.
Iniesta is at the seventh position after making £31.6m last year at Vissel Kobe in Japan. Raheem Sterling who is the only player from the Premier League in the list is placed eighth after racking in £30.7m in 2019.
Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski (£27m) and PSG’s Kylian Mbappe (£25m) close the top ten list.
