Ghanaian duo Idrissu Baba and Thomas Partey have been chosen in a list of top-performing Africans in the La Liga compiled by viewers of DSTV and GoTV, Ghanasoccernet reported.

Baba and Partey joined players, Morocco international Youssef En-Nesyri (Sevilla), Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal) and Cameroon international Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa (Villarreal)to complete the list.

Partey has been a key feature for Atletico this season and it shows with manager Diego Simeone continuing to make use of him in the squad.

Former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop was quoted saying that Arsenal should prepare a bid and be quick to make a move for Partey.

“If you’re Arsenal and you can somehow price Partey away from Atletico Madrid, absolutely you do it all day every day. He sits in front of the back four, I’m still not sure that there are many better box-to-box midfielders in the game. If you get this done, do it now, do it quickly.”

🇬🇭 Idrissu Baba Mohammed – Mallorca

Baba has also had quite the season for Mallorca and has been praised for his consistency in midfield which has been a great deal for the club fighting to remain in the La Liga - he is yet to score goals or provide assists.

Mallorca manager Vicente Moreno said: “Baba is an important player for us, a hard-worker as a midfielder who is reliable and able to provide defensive skills.

“He has grown strongly as a player and I hope he can help us achieve our goal for the season.”

Nigerian sensation Chukwueze has been a household name for Villarreal despite struggling to establish himself this season. There is no doubt that he is a big star in the making and it's a matter of time till he lands up in a big team.

La Liga legend Samuel Eto'o praised Chukwueze for his quality and added that the youngster needs to find himself again and score more goals.

“He is a quality player and he needs to score more goals, but he has the quality and ability to be more than just a goalscoring forward. Once he gets all of that he will be top.”

🇲🇦 Youssef En-Nesyri – Leganes & Sevilla

Morocco international En-Nesyri was on top form with his impressive performances for Leganes in the first half of the season and in no time he was picked up by Sevilla in the January 2020 transfer window.

His ability to create space and chances for his teammates has made him the ideal player in the squad and it is only a matter of being consistent in every game.

🇨🇲 Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa – Villarreal
